What you put in as a Recruitment Consultant, is what you get out: Salary benefits

  • Starting salary between £27-32,000 per annum dependent on level of experience plus a lucrative, realistic, and achievable commission scheme.
  • UNCAPPED commission, with typical earnings of £3-5000 per quarter towards the end of your second year, making it possible to potentially earn up to £20,000 per annum on top of your basic salary by year 2!  
  • A bonus scheme paid twice yearly for demonstrating company core values and hitting a company performance target, earning up to £1,000-£1,750 per annum in your first year.

First Recruitment Group (Birchwood, Warrington) has seen extraordinary growth since establishing itself in 1997. We are a global company with teams across the UK and internationally. We operate across Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Chemicals, Water, Aerospace & Defence, and most recently, the IT sector.

First Recruitment Group is made up of four well-established business streams: First Technical, Talascend, Primis, and Operam. In these teams, encompass our Recruitment Consultants from Trainee Recruitment Consultants right through to highly experienced Recruitment Consultants. 

The role of a Consultant:

  • We have a 25 year established database of strong client and candidate relationships, where you will work to develop existing and future relationships with our candidates and clients. This will include sourcing and recruiting the full end to end recruitment cycle.
  • As you pick up confidence, you will naturally uncover new talent through our specialist training on searching for sector specific talented candidates. Furthermore, you will receive access to high quality searching tools, ensuring you expand your network throughout your career at First.
  • Subsequently, you will be involved in identifying suitable talent, arranging interviews and preparing candidates, taking feedback and delivering the news, whilst also maintaining our brand reputation to provide an exceptional experience for all.
  • You will also be heavily involved in the screening process, video and telephone interviewing potential talent fits.
  • Whilst developing in your brand new role, you will notice a lucrative commission from early on in your employment, boosting your confidence to fulfil the needs of our clients time and time again.

Career path:

  • This role has uncapped potential on where it can go, with development into Senior Recruitment responsibilities within the first two years of joining, with unrivalled development opportunities.

Desirable but not essential experience:

  • A sales background and/or equivalent. Working in a people focused role, speaking to clients/candidates or customers on the phone. This could include working in an estate agent, call centre, car sales or retail environment.
  • A passion for people and developing a long term, sustainable career to progress through the recruitment career pathways.
  • We look for Recruitment Consultants who are not just money motivated, but want a sustainable, long-term and exciting career where they are acknowledged and rewarded for their talent.
  • An outgoing, motivated and driven individual who wants to be successful, whilst understanding the needs of their team to get everyone there.
